We are pleased to invite you to the 15th international Radiocommunications 2008 Seminar to be held in the Mercurius Congress Centre, in Ljubljana, Slovenia from 4 to 6 June 2008.

 

Updated information about the programme you can find here (last change: 29 May 2008).

 

The main theme of this year's seminar, radio communications in the industry, is clearly of great interest to many professional users. The key focus will be on radio frequency identification, short-range microwave communications in medicine, logistics, the wood industry, the automotive industry etc.

 

On the other hand, as usual the seminar will deliver some revision of the theoretical basics of radio communications and radio systems.

 

We are pleased that practical part of the seminar will be held in Technical Museum of Slovenia. We will have chance to see major inventions of famous inventor Nikola Tesla.

Registration fee


The registration fee for the participants of the Radiocommunications 2008 seminar is:
- EUR 350 (for one participant),
- EUR 280 (for at least three participants from the same organization),
- no charge (for the students).

The fee includes*:
- Admittance to the lectures and practical demonstrations,
- Lunch coupons,
- a get-together party,
- a seminar bag with seminar and advertising materials,

VAT of 20% is not included.

*Students are entitled to the lectures and practical demonstrations only.

The Radiocommunications 2008 seminar, to be held from 4 to 6 June 2008 in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, is the 15th in ta series of educational seminars organised by the Institute for Telecommunications. The seminar's target audience is experts in communication and radio systems.

The main theme of this year's seminar, radio communications in the industry, is clearly of great interest to many professional users. The key focus will be on radio frequency identification, short range microwave communications in medicine, logistics, the wood industry, the automotive industry etc.

On the other hand, as usual the seminar will deliver some revision of the theoretical basics of radio communications and radio systems.

As an expert in the field of radio communications you are warmlyinvited to participate at the Radiocommunications 2008 seminar as a lecturer.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR LECTURERS

Each lecture should take 40 minutes After each lecture, the lecturers will have 5 minutes to answer questions. Short lectures should take 10 to 20 minutes.

The format of an article

Please prepare an abstract of your presentation in a form with a maximum of 2,500 characters (Ariel, 10).

You are encouraged to submit a summary of your presentation together with your short biography (up to five sentences), a photograph of you (passport photo size, JPEG), and three questions concerning your presentation. Your biography and photo will be published in the seminar materials while the questions will be given to the moderator of the seminar and be used for the after-lecture discussion if no questions are posed.

Public presentations should be prepared in MS PowerPoint format or similar.

All should be prepared in an electronic form.

All materials will be published on CD and/or in seminar booklet.

Technical equipment

The seminar room is equipped with all modern technical devices needed for a successful seminar.

Some of the most important items of technical equipment available: PC projector, pointer, microphone, … Access to the web will also be provided.
