Report

RADIOCOMMUNICATIONS 2004
Ljubljana, Mercurius Congress Centre, June 2 - 4, 2004

The first day was reserved for some interesting lectures on the theory of radio technology and a presentation of legislative developments in the area of radiocommunications. Mrs. Mojca Jarc from the Ministry of the Information Society presented the new law on electronic communications. The communications of defence, protection and security organisations were presented the same day.

Slovenian Army, Police and the Office for Protection and Rescues.
The second and third days were set aside for specific areas like Maritime Safety (lecturer Mr. Valter Suban, Maritime and Transport Faculty), a radio system for searching for planes (lecturer Mr. Jožef Slana, Ministry of Transport). All radars that are used for air-traffic control in Slovenia, and radars for meteorological observations, were also presented. The last day was particularly interesting.

Apart from home lectures on biometry (lecturer Mr. Gorazd Mandelj from the company IskraSistemi) and personal and property protection, two very interesting lectures by invited foreign lecturers were also given: the European Project of Public Security MESA (lecturer Mr. Gianluigi Redaelli, CEFRIEL, Italy) and Recent Methods of Landmine Detection (Dr. Milan Bajić, Geodesy Faculty, University of Zagreb, Croatia).

22 lecturers were involved in the 2004 Radiocommunications seminar. Details of who they are and where they come from are found in the program information.
The photo gallery reveals some of the cordial atmosphere at the seminar.
We would like to thank to all the lecturers, companies and individuals that helped and cooperated in organising the seminar.
