One
day seminar
The
impact of non-ionising electromagnetic radiation on humans
and the environment
The Institute for Telecommunications is preparing educational
workshops on non-ionising electromagnetic radiation (NIR)
for administrative bodies and other interested parties.
The main stress is on explaining expert opinions regarding
NIR, initial measurements and monitoring.
The aim of education is to present individual experts
from non-technical fields, to identify the main purpose
of evaluating non-ionising electromagnetic radiation,
and to learn how to read expert opinions. In addition,
the Institute’s experts will explain the Slovenian Decree
on electromagnetic radiation in the natural and living
environment in detail. The Institute is preparing a draft
of standard procedures that will apply in all of Slovenia.
Draft contents of the workshop:
-
Interpretation
of the Decree on electromagnetic radiation in the
natural and living environment.
-
Interpretation
of the Regulations on Initial Measurements and Operational
Monitoring for Sources of Electromagnetic Radiation
and on Conditions of their Execution.
-
Explanation
of the method of preparing an expert opinion and a
simulation of final results.
-
Presentation
of the procedure for initial measurements and an explanation
of the method on a test example.
-
Viewpoints
of expert institutions and ministries on electromagnetic
radiation, preparing expert opinions as well as initial
and periodic measurements.
